Advanced Drone Aircraft for Professional Images

Our primary drone aircraft are Yuneec Typhoon H class 6 rotor hexacopter designs. The safety and stability offered by this hexacopter design is unmatched by conventional 4 rotor designs. Typhoon H’s can fly in higher winds than conventional 4 rotor aircraft, even able to fly with the loss of a rotor! This would bring down a conventional 4 rotor aircraft. The additional safety of redundant rotor systems further reduces the risk involved when operating aircraft over your property. We take safety and risk very seriously. We also fly DJI aircraft to take advantage of the excellent camera systems available on two of their most popular sUAS’s. Their flight capabilities and dependable communications systems make them valuable additions to our fleet.

Orbis Drone Services uses AirData UAV fleet management to manage our operations and equipment. We log all flights and missions to AirData UAV to gain an impressive amount of analysis to missions, equipment, operations and maintenance tracking and compliance. Online and electronic notifications are sent to our pilots to assign a mission, complete with all required specifications, airspace clearances, insurance and client expectations. We log EVERYTHING!

Yuneec typhoon h plus

This advanced 6 Rotor hexacopter design aircraft is our primary imaging vehicle. Powerful enough to handle 30 MPH winds, this bird will fly when others are grounded. The C23 camera system has a 1”, 20MP CMOS sensor capable of delivering images in stunning detail. From Hi-Definition Images (5472x3648) to 4K video (4096x2160) at 24-60 fps, this aircraft and camera can deliver quality that will meet every need. We have enough batteries to keep flying over 2 hours before needing to recharge, and for extended use we can charge batteries onsite for nearly non-stop flying all day.

Yuneec typhoon h pro

This advanced, 6 Rotor hexacopter design aircraft is our secondary and backup aircraft. A little smaller than the H+, it can handle winds up to 18MPH. The CGO3+ camera system is a 12MP 1/2.3” sensor camera able to capture Hi-Definition Images (3840x2160) and 4K video (3840x2160) at 30 fps. It can use the same batteries as the H Plus so similar flight times can be expected. The camera is not quite as advanced as the C23 on the H Plus, but it still produces amazing images and video.

DJI mavic 2 Pro

This advanced aircraft from DJI is also one of the main workhorses of our fleet. The size and portability of this aircraft make it quickly and easily deployable in a wide variety of environments. The advanced Hasselblad L1D-20C camera, with 20MP and a 1” CMOS sensor, produces exceptional images and is a “go-to” choice for Fine Art images and high end Real Estate imagery. We also use it to scout locations before bringing in the larger, more complex aircraft. It’s also fantastic for difficult to get shots, like UNDER a tree canopy looking down through branches, or INSIDE a structure for dramatic angles and shots. The Mavic 2 Pro has extended flight times and rock solid communications systems for very reliable flight performance. It’s a joy to fly and can be in the air quicker than any of our other aerial platforms. It’s also the most quiet aircraft we fly. Just 50’ above and you can barely hear it! This is a great solution for flying in an area where the noise of an sUAS is a concern.

DJI Inspire 2

This advanced aircraft from DJI is the “Heavy Hitter” of our fleet. Used exclusively for high-end Real Estate imagery and large budget commercial video production, this aircraft is usually crewed by two: a Pilot and a Camera Operator. The X5S camera system has a large Micro 4/3 sensor system and interchangeable lenses to get that perfect shot and effect. It is capable of capturing video in both Apple ProRes® and Adobe CinemaDNG® format for the highest possible cinematic quality footage for post processing. This aircraft and camera combination can deliver broadcast quality video, and publication quality images. Available for large budget productions, please contact us for more information and pricing when deploying this platform.

FAA Certificate of Authorizations

FAA Certificate of Authorizations allow us to fly in Controlled Airspace “at will”, 24x7x365. We do not have to go through the request process with the FAA every time we need to fly. The only exceptions are KSPS and KNFW. Both Sheppard Air Force Base(Wichita Falls) and Fort Worth Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base (Carswell AFB, Fort Worth) require a 3 day notice for operations approval.
